JOB TITLE: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse for FT and PT
DEPT: Nashville TN - Detox Center
SCHEDULE: Shifts available include 7a-7p / 7p-7a with rotating weekend shift coverage
Licensed Practical Nurse Summary
Provides care for clients dealing with co-occurring disorders in a detox setting located in Nashville TN
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Takes client's vital signs, treats wounds, and evaluates physical condition of clients as needed in emergency situations
- Maintains record of persons treated, and prepares incident reports
- Completes client medical history to be added to the clinical record
- Performs tuberculosis testing on all clients at time of admission and employees and makes appropriate referrals for individual's exhibiting S/S of TB or presenting with positive TB test
- Is responsible for the follow-up and documentation of medical information into the client's clinical record
- Completes the medical admission process and assists the medical records department, as needed
- Is available to answer medical questions after hours as needed by on-call staff
- Performs other duties as required or needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- An Active Unencumbered Nursing License in the State of Tennessee, required
- Pass Background Check and Drug Screen required
- Must have strong computer skills with ability to type 30 wpm
- Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills and strong organizational skills with paperwork
- Keeps a current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Valid TN D.L. with "F" endorsement required; ; "F" endorsement can be obtained once hired
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Nursing required
- High School Diploma or GED
