JOB TITLE: Medical Assistant - Detox FT and PT 

LOCATION: Nashville - Detox

SCHEDULE: 

• 12p - 12a Sun-Sat
• 7a - 7p Sun-Sat
• 7p-7a Sun-Sat 

SALARY: $21.00/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepares Clients for evaluation and assessment by providers at time of admission and ensure accurate and through client health history is obtained
• Measures, and records client's vital signs
• Maintains record of persons treated, and prepares accident reports
• Completes client medical, medication history to be added to the clinical record. Follows up on referrals made by staff for physical and/or dietary issues
• Is responsible for the follow-up and documentation of medical information into the client's clinical record including: CIWA-AR, COWS
• Works collaboratively with all team members as well as the nursing staff to ensure quality care and services are being provided to clients at all times
• Performs other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have strong computer skills with ability to type 30 wpm
• Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills and strong organizational skills with paperwork
• Keeps a current CPR and First Aid certifications, required
• Pass Background Check and Drug Screen, required
• Valid TN D.L. with "F" endorsement required; "F" endorsement can be obtained once hired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate (talk or hear).
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED
