JOB TITLE: Technician - Residential, FT / PT 

LOCATION: Nashville TN Detox Facility

SCHEDULE: All Shifts Available w/ some weekends / holidays

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Represents the entire team while on duty and understands the need for consistency within the team as a whole.
• The employee understands and practices Universal Precautions at all times.
• Answers the telephone, takes messages and/or sends messages to individual staff voice mailbox (at the discretion of the caller).
• Completes pre-admission screening forms on prospective clients calling after hours.
• Provides for the confidentiality of the individual client in treatment. Prior to giving out any information to any caller about any client, checks the client database system for an Authorized Release of Information for that particular caller from the specific client. Also, ensures that only authorized information is given.
• Assists clients with any supplies or equipment, linen, books, etc.
• Assists client in becoming accustomed to the facility routine and encourages them to participate in treatment, social and recreational activities to promote rehabilitation.
• Enforces all house rules while on duty.
• Inspects common areas and ensures they are maintained each shift.
• Work a flexible schedule as needed for site coverage.
• Locks all outside doors and provides nighttime security watch during non-business hours

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and taste or smell.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Some computer skills. Ability to type 20 wpm.
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Keeps a current CPR and First Aid certifications, required
• Pass Background Check and Drug Screen required
• Valid TN D.L. with "F" endorsement required'; "F" endorsement can be obtained once hired

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
