Over the years the mission has expanded to provide housing and supportive services in a continuum of care for very low income, disabled and homeless residents of our service area.

Buffalo Valley, Inc. currently provides alcohol and substance abuse treatment, including Levels I-IV residential, out-patient treatment, and detox. We also provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, and affordable permanent housing to those in our service area. Buffalo Valley, Inc. offers case management, job training and job placement services, as well as GED screening, and vocational rehabilitation. Buffalo Valley, Inc. can also provide psychological evaluations, self esteem enhancement training, and life skills counseling. Buffalo Valley is looking for individuals in long-term recovery from substance use to be a Recovery Navigators (“Navigators”). The Buffalo Valley Recovery Navigators are responsible for meeting patients in the hospital when they present due to an overdose, are experiencing active withdrawal, or present with a primary substance use disorder, to connect them with treatment and recovery resources. The goal of this program is to break the cycle of overdose and increase the number of individuals who are connected with treatment and recovery services by meeting patients in the emergency department and by sharing their lived experience. Using their personal lived experience of addiction and recovery and Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) training, BVI Recovery Navigators need to be incredibly effective at connecting with the patients they meet and successful in ultimately placing the person in treatment for substance use disorder
