Residential Technician- (FT-2nd Shift, PT/FT-3rd Shift) - Nashville, TN
JOB TITLE: Technician - Residential, FT / PT
LOCATION: Nashville TN Detox Facility
SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift, including weekends and holidays,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are representative of the position and are not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Serve as the on-duty representative of the treatment team, maintaining consistency in the delivery of services and adherence to program expectations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and consistently follow Universal Precautions and infection control procedures.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, take messages, and direct communications to appropriate staff members or voicemail systems as requested.
- Complete pre-admission screenings for prospective clients contacting the facility during non-business hours.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and authorized release procedures. Verify approved Release of Information (ROI) documentation before sharing any client information and provide only authorized information.
- Assist clients with obtaining necessary supplies and resources, including linens, books, equipment, and personal care items.
- Support clients in adjusting to facility routines and encourage participation in treatment, educational, social, and recreational activities that promote recovery and rehabilitation.
- Enforce program guidelines, facility policies, and house rules in a fair and consistent manner.
- Conduct routine inspections of common areas and ensure they remain clean, safe, and properly maintained throughout each shift.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to provide coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and other staffing needs.
- Secure facility entrances and provide overnight monitoring and security during non-business hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently stand, walk, and communicate effectively with clients, staff, and visitors.
- Occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform job duties.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Possess visual acuity necessary for close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to type at least 20 words per minute.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening required.
- Valid Tennessee Driver's License with an "F" endorsement required. Candidates may obtain the "F" endorsement after hire.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
